I was afraid the blindness was permenant.

Well your Discus story gives me hope and have been feeding her from the surface and she seems to be able to sense or see just enough so she can grab it. It's a slow process but she is eating.

I did a search on DP's and this seems to be a common problem that the DP's just seem to stop eating and most seem not to realize that they are going blind or are. I will admit this is not the first time I have observed this with some other DP's that I have lost. Now that we seem to have gotten to the bottom of the problem I hope my next few will have better luck.

Thanks!!

My DP's are not doing well at all...feeding them has turned into a huge production and I'm lucky if I can get them to eat one bloodworm a day. They have lost so much weight. So we will be euthanizing them today. This saddens me and I'm very upset I did not catch what was going on sooner.

Thanks guys...I went to go pull her out last night and she had already passed. So it was a little easier.

So one left and he ate like a little piggy last night. So we will see how he does.
